☑️ Buying a Coastal Bus/Moulding of Blocks to Fence the Club’s
Donations are still ongoing for the repair of the coastal bus bought by the Club and the moulding of blocks for a perimeter fence.

☑️ Prof. Inyang Ating Elected as the Lay President-Elect of the Methodist
Archdiocese of Oron
UNIUYO Senior Staff Club extends its heartfelt congratulations to our club member, Prof. Inyang Ating, on being elected as the lay president of the MethodisArchdiocese of Oron. Before this honour, Prof. Ating served as the lay president of the Diocese of Oyubia. We wish Prof. Ating a successful tenure in his new role.
☑️ Burial Ceremony Of Late Elder Edet Jacob Umana (CSP RTD)
The Club attended the burial ceremony of the late Elder Edet Jacob Umana (CSP RTD), the father-in-law of Dr. Abayomi Okediji, at Nsit Attai LGA of Akwa Ibom State. The Club President, Dr. Otoabasi Ansa, led the Club’s delegation to the event.
The Club prays for the repose of the soul of Elder Edet Jacob Umana.
Sports
☑️ Birthday Celebration of Rear Admiral Uduak Essien
The Capo, of the Tennis section celebrated his birthday during the month of September. The event was marked by tennis matches played in his honour, and monetary prices were distributed to winners.
☑️ Re-birth of Five-aside Football
The Sports Secretary, Dr. Eddy Enyinehi, has rejuvenated the football division of the sports unit. Five-a-side football matches are now being played at the Club every Saturday. Lace up your boots and join us every Saturday to play away the stress, because an active Club member is a productive worker.
☑️ Biannual Tennis Ladder Competition
The Tennis Section of the Club, headed by the Capo, Rear Admiral Uduak Essien, is organizing a ladder placement competition. This will be a biannual event where members of the tennis section will be ranked based on their tennis skills. The competition involves members playing against one another to earn points for ranking.
The 2024 Biennial Ladder Tournament's opening ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, 2024, with the agenda as follows:

10:05: Welcome Remarks by the Sports Secretary, Dr. Eddy
10:15: Overview of the Ladder Tournament by Capo, Rear Admiral Essien
10:25: Opening Remarks and Declaration of the Tournament Open by Mr. President, Dr. (Engr.) Otoabasi Ansa
10:30: Tournament Rules & Regulations by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee
10:45 - Opening Match:
Men's Singles between Dr. Eddy Enyenihi and Chidi.
Other matches will commence immediately following the opening match, as announced by the organizing committee. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy excellent tennis throughout October.
