A. PERRY The Franciort Chapter of the American Rose Society is unique in Frankfort because it is the only garden club here which has a membership open to both men women. "After all," said Mrs. W. Blaine Patton, the club's president, "it's really the men do most of the work of gardening." The club has a nice membership of both men and women and is interested in recruiting some young couples who would like to learn more about the planting and care of roses.

Dr. and Mrs. Abbott Mitchell entertained the club for its February meeting at their home in Indian Business of the evening 'included a discussion of the main project of the club for next spring, the details of which will be announced later. Plans were also made for the Rose Show which held under the auspices of the club on June 3 at the First Presbyterian Church. Mr.

Eugene Brown will be general chairman. Both classes in horticulture and arrangements will be included in the show. The March meeting of the club will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Allen, Specialists Attend Heart Seminar Four medical technologists from Frankfort attended the seminar in Louisville February 16 at which heart-related chemistry, therapy and techniques were discussed by physicians from the teaching staff of the School of Med: ine, University of Louisville.

More than 150 technologists registered at the meeting. Those from here were Boyd Lawson, 216 Steele who is with the King's Daughters Hospital three associated with the State Health Department, Rose Conner, Pat Layton and W. H. Frymire. and W.

The seminar, which ed medical technologists from all sections of Kentucky was sponsored jointly by the Kentucky and Louisville Heart Associations, the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and the Kentucky and Loui, ville Societies of Medical Technologists. College Plans Audubon Event Georgetown, Georgetown College will feature Mr.

Cleveland P. Grant in the third and last of the current Audubon Screen Tours, on Thursday, February 23, 1961, at 8:00 p. in the John L. Hill Chapel. Mr.

Grant, who will be making second appearance at Georgetown in recent lecture entitled, Heart of the years will present his film Wild. This Audubon Tour deals with the wild and natural places of North America where native birds and animals live today as they have for centuries. In the pact twenty-five years Cleveland Grant has produced more than twenty motion picture films on the native wild birds and animals of North America. During this period, he has delivered over 5,000 lectures to audiences totaling over 2,000,000 people. The public is cordially invited to attend the program.

MISS LORA RATLIFF Miss Ratliff, Mr. Mogge Are Engaged Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ratliff announce the betrothal of their daughter, Miss Lora Ratliff, to Mr. John Norton Mooge, son of Mr.
