The Orchard Ribfest & Vendor Fair is this Saturday, September 28 at the Orchard Community Center. There will be 40+ vendors at the Vendor Fair from 9 am to 3 pm and the Ribfest will be held as well. Do you have financial papers, medical records, or other sensitive documents you don’t know what to do with? The North Central RC&D has partnered with communities along Highway 20 and Highway 12 to offer on-site paper shredding. On September 30, 2024, a truck from Security Shredding Services will be stopping in Merriman, Valentine, Bassett, Stuart, Atkinson, and Ewing. On October 7th, the truck will make stops in Springview, Naper, Butte, Spencer, and Niobrara. Documents can be in files with paper clips, however, larger metal clips need to be removed. There is no charge for individuals and businesses to bring paper, however, free will donations are appreciated to cover the cost of the event.
