Death Valley is absolutely worth visiting! The landscapes are so unique that you'll forget you're still in the US and you can see insane natural phenomenons in just 1 day here. With an air conditioned vehicle you can safely tour many of the main sites in Death Valley. Stay on paved roads in summer, and if your car breaks down, stay with it until help arrives.

Lived in California for 10 years and this is the first time visiting Death Valley National Park. This Park is not as well highlighted as other parks in California but most definitely worth visiting. The landscape here is absolutely breathtaking! We will definitely schedule another trip to spend more time at this park.

The contrast with other parks we visited ( Grand Canyon and red rock ) was stark . It was amazing and beautiful but in a very different and austere way. A huge area with some amazing views ( and temperatures !) It looked and felt like a very different world.

Amazing park to visit. The landscape is truly amazing and surreal at times. The park is big and in order to really see its beauty entirely, you should allot yourself a couple days. Admission is $30 per vehicle and your pass is good for seven days. Cell phone service is very limited, so be prepared to not have GPS services or cell phone service. The park is open to walking trails and bring plenty of fluids.

It's Death Valley, after all! Be prepared for wildlife, extreme temperature fluctuations, no gas stations for miles and beautiful landscape. Do take precautions with food, gas and some DIY just in case if something were to go wrong. It will take at least 5 hours or so to go to all the main attractions and the drive in general. Well worth it!

I'm amazed by this national park. I didn't expect to find such landscape diversity at such relatively small place. Dunes, colorful rocky mountains, salt basin... This all was a very pleasant surprise. What won't be the surprise is the fact that it's super hot and dry at this place. So bring a lot of water with your and then refill the empty bottles at the visitor center. Don't forget sunscreen lotion and a hat. I would have been roasted without all of these.Depending which direction are you driving, expect to drive few hours to get out from the park to the nearest gas station or actually any bigger town, in general. This took me and my boyfriend about 3 hours and I'm glad that we have managed it with gas in our car. So just think about this in advance.

Death Valley is absolutely beautiful… I first thought Death Valley was all dry and plain desert but in reality it’s such a unique and magical place offering everything from deserts to salt flats to snowy mountains! What more can you ask for? I really enjoyed my time here soaking up the amazingly breathtaking scenery and hiking to the salt flats. It wasn’t too crowded either so I got to more truly connect with the awe-inspiring nature here. I went here in late March and the temperature was just perfect, not super scorching hot like Death Valley is known for and I suggest you visit around that time. There’s so much to do here that I couldn’t see it all in one day so I’m looking forward to coming back in a couple years. I feel like Death Valley is one of the best National Parks in the US that’s not as well known as others such as the Grand Canyon. This is such a wonderful place worthy of bucket lists and I highly recommend you visit sometime!

Visited Death Valley on February 2024. We stayed in the historic lodge and it was fabulous. Absolutely loved the trip with all my heart. The lodge was beautiful and the pool is not to be missed.Did two great hikes. Very rugged, BTW. It goes without saying that plenty of water is a Must -even in the cooler weather of Feb. The drives are gorgeous. This is the biggest park in the lower 48! Also it can be cold so be prepared for extremes in the weather. We were lucky to be there and see the Manly lake with water in it.The history of the area is fascinating.Def get reservations for dinners here.

This park is so unique and fun. I liked driving through and seeing the cool landscape. I was only here a few hours and had so much fun! The salt flats were interesting, and the Badwater area was too. I wish I could have stayed longer and explored more.

It was too hot to really enjoy hiking. We drove through on our way back and checked it off our list of national parks. I couldn’t really see staying there more than a few hours in the summer.

Definitely a great experience. This National Park is beautiful. The visiting center is well-kept and has cellular service (the capacity of 1997, aka 3G network).

This is a great place to visit, in the spring, forget the summer, it holds America's record for highest temperature 136 I believe. No thanks, but we went in the spring, 75 was good for us. Well worth the trip when planned properly. Get fuel BEFORE going, yes you can buy fuel here but be ready give an arm or a leg for it. 30 minutes down the road is Longstreet Casino, in Nevada, its less expensive there.

Really amazing colours, views and scenery! Worth to drive through the park, if it's too hot to walk, you won't be disappointed! We really enjoyed the visitor centre, as well the guests shop for a nice little cool down. The outside museum is also worth to check out!It can get extremely hot so take plenty of water!

This is a truly surreal and amazing park. It was one of the best experiences of my life. The first night, we got there when it was dark in hopes of stargazing as it's supposed to be one of the best places to do that. Unfortunately, it was too cloudy for stargazing, but we still had lots of fun going to badwater basin. It was crazy seeing the car thermometer going up and up and up a degree at a time to over 100 degrees ferenhight. I've never been anywhere so hot. Even more shocking to me was how dry the air was. I'm used to high humidity, so it was pleasant that the air was dry. Makes it more manageable. We drove around for a while and came back in the morning to do more hiking and visiting the gift shop. I wish I had more time to explore Death Valley. I hope I get to come back again someday.

Driving through Death Valley National Park in April was an unforgettable experience for my family and me. As a 34-year-old dad, I was excited to explore this unique landscape with my wife, our 1-year-old daughter, and my father. The weather in April was surprisingly mild, making it an ideal time to visit. We started our journey early to make the most of the daylight and avoid the midday heat. The vastness of the desert was awe-inspiring, with its dramatic landscapes and vibrant, ever-changing colors. Our first stop was Zabriskie Point, where we took in the stunning panoramic views of the badlands. The early morning light cast a golden hue over the rugged terrain, creating a perfect backdrop for photos. Despite the challenging terrain, the paved paths made it accessible for my father, who enjoyed the views without much difficulty.Driving further, we visited the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. My wife and I took turns exploring the dunes while one of us stayed with our daughter in the shaded picnic area. Watching her experience the sand for the first time was a joy.The highlight of our trip was Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America. Walking out onto the salt flats was surreal, and it was fascinating to see the geometric patterns formed by the salt. The stroller-friendly boardwalks made it easy for us to navigate with our daughter.

Was different from any national park we’ve visited but really enjoyed our drive through. It was over 100 degrees by 9 am at the beginning of September.

This is a once in life experience. If you are going to California. Please plan a visit to Death Valley National Park. The drive is really nice and adventurous. Do take inside roads if you’re traveling with kids. Overall it’s a great experience. Must visit place in California.

We were there on March 14, 2024. The drive to Death Valley from Lone Pine was somewhat, at times was a little scary. The roads, of course, have no guard rails and have hair pin turns at high elevations. The scenery was awesome and very diversified. We've used our permanent national park pass. If you don't have one get one as we've paid for our tenfold. .We were able to take a tour with the park ranger. He was great. Very knowledgeable about the mining of borax. Would recommend.

Personally I think early spring is the best time to visit this amazing national park. If you are lucky you can come across a vast field of flowers (desert gold), snow at its highest point and pleasant weather at its lowest point all in one day. We experienced all of these in one day and it was awesome.
